Job Description Superintendents at Fairbank Construction Company are trusted and empowered with a great deal of responsibility.
They are asked to achieve results, using an approach consistent with the outstanding client service and high-quality standards of Fairbank Construction.
They take charge of the day-to- day decisions, operations and safety at the jobsite and work closely with our Project Managers, Owners, Architects/Designers and subcontractors.
They are expected to lead their construction teams to maximize their talents to achieve the highest level of quality construction.
Responsibilities Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of the Foreman, Sub-Contractor(s) and/or craft employees on-site Responsible for job site safety of everyone on the job site Mentors and implements safety policies and procedures Determines work priorities and coordinates work activities within the design area and/or with others outside of the office; apportions work among employees according to abilities or specialized training Coordinates new construction and major remodeling, which involves scheduling meetings and reviewing project documents (e.
g.
contracts, specifications, blueprints) as necessary Collaborates with administrators on the supervision of all work operations Keeps cost records on work performed and materials; is responsible for the control of costs of materials and wages Schedules jobs and operation to control rate of construction progress to complete construction projects within time limits and budgets Estimates manpower and materials needed for specific jobs Leads inspection and commission of day-to-day construction work to enforce conformity to specifications Acts as an advisor on job-related problems Interfaces and responds to individuals requiring information or service, such as agencies, department heads or others Trains employees on the job with the goal of developing them into the next level of construction professional Reports to General Superintendent Personal Attributes Supervisory and mentoring ability and interest A desire and proven ability to provide outstanding customer service Humble-great team players lack excessive ego or concerns about status Hungry-aggressively pursues goals Smart-emotionally smart, that is, in interactions with others Required Skills and Experience 5 years
of high-end residential and/or custom-commercial multi-family construction Ability to read blueprints and specifications for building General computer, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word and Outlook Field construction experience, especially framing and finish work Knowledge of all phases of building construction, including work commonly done by the various building crafts Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems Knowledge of building materials, tools, and machines Valid driver's license Preferred Qualification Proficiency in Procore Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis for an 8-10 hour day Ability to lift 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
